What inspired the design of the BattleStation?

We got hyped by those popular 3D wall panels lighting up gaming setups everywhere, but let’s be real—installing them was a pain in the ass.

That sparked the idea for the BattleStation: a fully customizable gaming hub that’s easy to set up in 30 minutes. With swappable front and back panels, you can choose your own preferred style, and we’re stoked to add future options like slapping your gamer tag or logo on there.

We’re pumped to offer pre-orders before the official launch, so you can lock in your BattleStation early and be the first to level up your setup.

Functionality and Compatibility

How does the BattleStation connect to my PC?

The BattleStation comes ready to roll with WLED installed on a controller physically in the BattleStation. You can tweak the lighting settings over your Wi-Fi network using a variety of apps. Whether you’re on an iPhone, Android, Windows PC, or Mac, you’ve got full control. Everything’s open-source and unlocked, so you can customize it to your heart’s content.

Want to sync your lights with your screen for that sweet ScreenSync (our take on Ambilight)? Just fire up SignalRGB or Hyperion on your PC. These apps analyze your screen’s colors and tell the BattleStation exactly which hues to display and where.

What software enables the ScreenSync effect?

You’ve got two solid options: Hyperion and SignalRGB.

We’ve had the best results with Hyperion so far—it’s what’s running in all the demo videos you see on our page. Both work great, but Hyperion’s been the star of the show.

How does the ScreenSync effect work with different screen sizes or resolutions?

No matter your screen size or resolution, we’ve got you covered. We’ll provide a custom Hyperion installation file or a config file you can import. It’ll automatically set everything up to ensure ScreenSync works flawlessly with your setup.

Does the BattleStation support multiple monitors?

You can absolutely use multiple monitors with the BattleStation, though it might change the aesthetic. Whether ScreenSync plays nice depends on the software you’re running—Hyperion or SignalRGB. Both can handle multi-monitor setups, but you’ll want to double-check your software settings for the best results.

Is the BattleStation compatible with gaming consoles like PlayStation or Xbox?

For standard lighting, you can hook up any console—PlayStation, Xbox, you name it—to a monitor in front of the BattleStation, and it’ll look awesome.

ScreenSync is trickier, though. We’re actively exploring what’s possible for console support, and we’ll keep you posted. Drop your email on our page for updates, and hit us up if you’ve got specific questions!

Is the BattleStation compatible with both Windows and Mac?

Standard lighting effects work like a charm on both Windows and Mac since they’re OS-independent. For ScreenSync, there’s a slight catch: SignalRGB is primarily built for Windows, but Hyperion’s got your back on macOS with a dedicated version. Of course, it has a dedicated version for Windows as well. We’re still ironing out the details as we build this project, and we’ll have all the info ready when pre-orders and orders go live.

Does the BattleStation support third-party software for LED customization?

You bet it does! We’re all about freedom, not locking you into some walled-off tech ecosystem. The BattleStation is fully open-source, so you can use any software you want, write your own code to talk to the APIs, or just stick with the software we provide. It’s your call—customize it your way!

Can I customize the front panels?

At launch, we’ll offer a few designs for the BattleStation’s front panels. Down the road, we’re dreaming big—you’ll be able to personalize them with your gamer tag, logos, or whatever vibe you’re feeling!

Are there any color options available?

The BattleStation is all about letting the LEDs do the work. To keep the lighting effects crisp and undistorted, we’ve gone with a sleek, all-white design. The LEDs provide all the color you’ll ever need!

Can the LEDs be turned off or customized?

Total control is yours! Using any compatible app, you can turn the LEDs off or tweak the lighting effects to match your mood. Plus, we’ve added a physical button with two tricks: hold it to power the LEDs on or off, or tap it to cycle through your custom WLED presets.

How does the BattleStation handle cable management?

We’ve got your back on keeping things tidy. The BattleStation has three built-in cable slots—one in the middle and one on each side—so your cables can run smoothly underneath. Not using a slot? Pop in one of the included caps for a clean look.

Can the BattleStation be used with standing desks or adjustable-height setups?

Absolutely! The BattleStation works great on standing or adjustable desks. Just make sure your desk’s motors can handle the weight—our BattleStation clocks in at about 18 kilograms, plus your other gear, of course.

What materials are used in a BattleStation?

The BattleStation is built to last with high-quality laminated chipboard and custom aluminum extrusions for a sleek, sturdy frame. It’s paired with vibrant, individually addressable WS2805 LED strips to light up your gaming space in style.

What type of LEDs are used?

We’re using WS2805 LEDs—individually addressable (for the techy's: it's controlled per 3 LEDs because we use the 12V version) RGBIC LEDs with an extra white diode. This setup delivers dazzling colorful effects and super-bright white light for maximum versatility and impact. Each LED has five different diodes. Except Red, Blue, and Green, which can create millions of colors, we also offer a dedicated Warm White and Cold White Diode. This is both ways more energy efficient if you want just a normal white tint and the white tints are also way better (offer a higher CRI).

What is the power consumption?

The average power consumption is approximately 40W.

Does the BattleStation support wireless connectivity for LEDs?

You bet! The BattleStation comes with a wireless controller that hooks up to your Wi-Fi network during setup.

Once connected, you can control the LEDs using apps on your iPhone, Android, Windows PC, or Mac—pretty much any system you’ve got!

Shipping, Delivery, and Installation

Where are BattleStations manufactured?

How are BattleStations shipped?

We’re designing the BattleStation to fit in a relatively standard-sized box for easy shipping. In our first phase, we’ll use trusted carriers like DPD or DHL to deliver across Europe.

The longest side of our box will probably be 170cm though. Because we want to deliver the absolute best quality for you, the whole upper bar of a BattleStation with a size of 160 cm is one solid piece.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times depend on your location. In the Netherlands, expect your BattleStation in 1-2 days. Farther out in Europe? A maximum of to about 8 days for most countries. We’ll share a detailed shipping table closer to launch when our website is fully live.

Can I pick up a BattleStation at the factory?

Heck yeah! Swing by our factory in the Netherlands, and we’ll show you the BattleStation’s full glory with a hands-on demo. Can’t wait to meet you!

Is assembly required for the BattleStation?

Yep, some assembly is needed, but it’s a breeze. Think IKEA furniture, but way cooler. The setup takes about 30 minutes max, with simple steps to transform your space into an epic gaming hub.

Does the BattleStation come with a user manual or setup guide?

You bet! We’ll include a detailed user manual, plus video tutorials where we walk you through building your BattleStation step-by-step. It’s easy, fun, and we’re with you all the way.

Are replacement parts available if something breaks?

We’re all about keeping your BattleStation running for years. While we’re still setting up our parts store, our goal is to make every component—like light strips—replaceable and affordable. Everything’s designed for easy self-repair, and we’ll ship parts from our factory as needed.

Can I return or exchange the BattleStation if I’m not satisfied?

No worries! You’ve got 30 days to return your BattleStation if it’s not your vibe. Once we’re fully up and running, we’ll have a dedicated returns page with all the details. We’re keeping it simple because we’re confident you’ll love it.
